Maintaining Employee Data Using the HRIS

To teach participants how to enter and maintain employee data. This on-line course will focus on how to use the HRIS to maintain classified and unclassified employee data (i.e. personal data, job data, and performance information). This course will be held in a computer lab and each participant will have access to a computer for completing activities presented in class.

Prerequisites:Be able to use a web browser that supports HRIS
 Attend Developing HRIS On-Line Skills
 Attend Activities for Developing HRIS On-Line Skills (optional)
  • ..Relationship between position management and job data
  • ..Describes Action/Reason codes
  • ..Hiring employees (i.e., classified and unclassified)
  • ..Maintain employee data, including separations
  • ..Maintain employee movement activities (i.e. promotions and transfers)
  • ..Maintain employee performance reviews
  • ..Classified step increase process
  • ..Unclassified salary increase process

Rescheduling & Cancellations

Due to the demand for the HRIS training sessions, rescheduling and/or canceling registration in a timely manner will be appreciated. Normally, there are individuals on a waiting list. Simply notify us by fax, telephone, or e-mail.
