Beginning in FY 2009, the State of Kansas began implementation of a new pay plan strategy where the current classified employee pay plan will be replaced with five new pay plans. Part of this strategy is to bring classified employee pay up to market rate which will allow K-State to provide comparable salaries to those paid by other local and regional organizations. In addition, the state developed a new Performance Management System so that all classified employees will be consistently evaluated within all agencies.
