Compensation and Classification has the primary responsibility for administering the salary, job titles, and job codes for all employees at Kansas State University. This includes approving the position description and determining the exemption status for all employees on campus, in addition to reviewing potential unclassified salary adjustment requests and promotional structures.
Compensation and Classification also administers all University Support Staff performance appraisal reviews, in addition to all of the unclassified performance appraisals that fall under the Vice President for Administration and Finance. This unit also performs Essential Function Reviews that pertain to claims under the ADA or in the Return to Work program. Finally, the unit assists departments in performing organizational analyses to help maximize efficiency by auditing position duties and workflow within the unit/department.
