Teachers and Employees Association (TEA) Life Insurance

Employees may purchase from $10,000 to $250,000 (but no more than 5 times annual salary) in additional term life insurance coverage. Employee guaranteed issue of $50,000, regardless of health, if enrolled in TEA within 31 days of employment. Coverage is available for spouse and dependents at three option levels.

When Eligible: The employee must enroll within 31 calendar days of employment to receive the guarantee issue. Enrollment available anytime thereafter – requires underwriter approval.

Who Pays: The employee pays premiums based on the age of the employee and the amount of life insurance coverage purchased.
