Special Programs
The K-State History Department offers several academic concentrations (both informally and as part of K-State programs). Our strong relationship with the U.S. military (and nearby military installations such as Ft. Riley and Ft. Leavenworth) makes our department a unique place to explore the intersections between civilian and military history, as well as traditional and nontraditional concepts of security. The department also runs a major project aimed at recovering the history of Broughton, Kansas, a Republican River community lost to the Milford Reservoir in 1966. Finally, we participate actively in national history events such as History Day. Please click on any program’s link to learn more.
