Friends of the Chapman Center of Rural Studies
The Chapman Center for Rural Studies is committed to researching, preserving, and sharing the history of rural Kansas. Through the establishment of a research lab, archives, curriculum and publications the Chapman Center will link the community of learners at Kansas State University with the communities of the past. The stories and lives of all peoples who shaped the history of this region are significant; and as a premier land-grant institution, Kansas State University supports and encourages the recovery of lived experience, lost towns and settlements, original lands, and changing landscapes.

Robert D. Linder History Scholarship
Established by friends and former students of University Distinguished Professor Robert Linder, this fund currently awards two scholarships annually to outstanding history majors. Our goal is to grow the fund to a level that would allow the award of four renewable scholarships annually.

Established to honor the memory of Josie Sanders, a fervent champion of higher education and the late wife of Professor Charles Sanders. Preference for this scholarship is given to incoming freshman history majors.

This award was established by the children of Leroy and Mary Page in memory of their parents. Professor Page was the department's historian of science for a quarter century; Mary Page was a distinguished nursing educator.
