  • 0.75 - 1.5 inches total length
  • Found in sandy, lowland floodplains and moist, upland areas
  • Hidden in daytime, hunts at night
  • Breed in temporary pools of river floodplains - also known to breed in shallow upland pools like bison wallows
  • Feed on bees, beetles, insect larvae, spiders, & ants
