Course Name:  Activities for Developing HRIS On-Line Skills

Prerequisite:  Be able to use a web browser that supports HRIS and attend the Developing HRIS On-Line Skills course

Department:  Human Capital Services

Length of Session:  1 Hour

Audience:  Department HCS Liaisons

Session Description:

An activity-based course that will concentrate on locating/viewing information on-line and that will enhance skills needed to use HRIS.

This course will be held in a computer lab and each participant will have access to a computer for completing activities presented in class. Be prepared to use your eID and password in this session.

Session Objectives:  As a result of this session, participants will:

  • Locating and viewing information in the Benefits menu
    • Benefits Summary
  • Locating and viewing information in the North American Payroll menu
    • Additional Pay
    • Direct Deposit
    • Tax Data
    • Paycheck Data (Earnings, Deductions, and Taxes)
    • Pay Distribution Summary (Funding Information)
  • Locating and viewing information in the Workforce Development menu
    • Employee Performance Review
  • Locating and viewing information in the Workforce Administration menu
    • Personal Data
    • Employment Data
    • Job Data
    • Benefit Program
    • General Data
    • Education
    • Visa/Permit Data
    • Contract Data
    • Unclassified Data
  • Locating and viewing information in the Organizational Development menu
    • Position Data (i.e., department, job code, 9/12, Regular/Temporary,
    • Work Schedule, Holiday Schedule, Pay Group, etc.)
  • Locating and viewing information in the Time and Leave Menu

Enrollment

You may enroll through HRIS Self-Enrollment to receive immediate confirmation (see the Employee Self Service Learning & Development directions for more information). Or e-mail learning-develop-hr@ksu.edu and include your name, department, employee ID number (required), course title and course date. Enrollment will be confirmed by an e-mail response to the sender.
