Course Name:  Anti-Discrimination

Prerequisite:  None

Department:  Human Resources

Length of Session:  1 Hour

Audience:  All new faculty, staff or any K-State employee who has not previously attended a session on anti-discrimination.

Session Description:  The objectives for this session are to increase awareness of issues related to discrimination and to inform participants of the university policy regarding harassment, sexual harassment, and sexual violence.

Supervisors are urged to enroll new employees who may not be familiar with K-State's policy, including those who have transferred from other state agencies. 

Session Objectives:  As a result of this session, participants will:

  • Recognize Kansas State University policy prohibiting discrimination, harassment, and sexual violence;
  • Identify behaviors that may constitute discrimination;
  • Gain knowledge of guidelines for ways to reduce risk of sexual violence;
  • Understand bystander intervention; and
  • Recognize resources available to the campus community.

You may enroll through HRIS Self-Enrollment to receive immediate confirmation (see the Employee Self Service Learning & Development directions for more information). Or e-mail learning-develop-hr@ksu.edu and include your name, department, employee ID number (required), course title and course date. Enrollment will be confirmed by an e-mail response to the sender.

It is the employee's responsibility to obtain the necessary departmental approvals prior to enrolling.
