Project Phases  

Phase I: Spring/Summer 2018
  • Review prior reports and K-State 2025 Strategic Plan to understand the current state of talent management services and experiences
  • Conduct Request for Proposal to identify competency framework
  • Implement Human Resources Strategic Advisory Council
  • Identify pilot groups for the project
  • Train faculty and staff to utilize competency framework (these members will be responsible for facilitation of competency profiles for pilot groups)
Phase II: Fall 2018
  • Identify themes and create teams to help research and develop the framework to move us towards achieving our goals
  • Conduct competency identification for job families with pilot groups
  • Design career paths framework for pilot groups
  • Draft policies and procedures
Phase III: Spring 2019
  • Conduct learning seminars
  • Develop employee communication materials
  • Finalize initiative and develop detailed implementation plan
  • Finalize policies and procedures
Phase IV: Spring/Summer 2019
  • Implement plan
  • Conduct learning seminars
  • Communicate with employees
