Flexible Spending Accounts

Dependent care and health care flexible spending accounts are both offered by the State of Kansas to benefits eligible employees. These accounts allow the employee to pay for non-reimbursed dependent daycare expenses for the employee's immediate family members, and/or health care expenses with pretax dollars. More information may be found on the Kansas Department of Health and Environment's State Employee Health Plan Flexible Spending Account Program

Eligibility: (1) First day of the month following 30 days of employment, (2) during open enrollment period, or (3) within 31 days of a qualifying event.

Funding: Employee contribution only.
