Spring 2002 Industry Tours - Consolidated Container Company (March 18)

GROW participants visited Consolidated Container Company in Kansas City, KS. Girls arrived at 10am to participate in a tour of the company, led by Kerry McCane & Laura Fee, two female engineers of the company.

Girls were led through the production plant and shown the various steps engineers are involved in. One stop was the lab where engineers test the durability and thickness of the bottles they produce for Procter & Gamble products.

Here girls were given the opportunity to try some tests on bottles they picked up during the tour of the assembly line.

After the tour, girls had lunch with other female engineers from Procter & Gamble and Consolidated Container Company. Looks like everyone is having a great time!
