GROW 2002 Summer Workshop - UV, Yeast & You

We all have heard that ultraviolet light (UV) from the sun can be harmful--it causes sunburns, skin cancers, and cataracts in the eye--here is where GROW girls had a chance to learn why. Girls tested the effects of the sun on yeast and used a computer program to explore the effects of the sun, sunscreens, and the ozone layer on living things.
