Fall 2002 Tours
In the Fall 2002 semester, the
GROW Project hosted industry tours for middle school girls.
The girls visited with women who work in each company in a
science, math, engineering or technology position.
Here's where we went:
September 27th Tour - Kansas
City
(Bus started in Salina)
The Midwest
Ear Institute is dedicated to enhancing the quality of
life by restoring hearing. We accomplish this by evaluating
and treating patients and by our involvement in clinical research
projects. Through our work, we relieve the isolation and misunderstanding
caused by hearing loss and other ear-related disorders by
educating patients, their families, and professionals in the
field.
As a world leader in animal health,
Bayer is committed to providing effective
and dependable products that enhance and maintain the health
of the animals you care for. Advantage, a flea treatment for
pets, is one of their products. We will visit with women who
work here and have lunch with them!
November 8th Tour - Wichita
(Bus started in Dodge City)

core expertise is in defense electronics. Our commercial products
and services span the aviation, engineering and construction
and commercial electronics markets. From its early days as
a maker of radio tubes, its adaptation of World War II radar
technology to invent microwave cooking, and its development
of the first guided missile, Raytheon has successfully built
upon its pioneering tradition to become a global technology
leader.
The world's leading outdoor recreation
brand, Coleman manufactures the
legendary Coleman lantern and camp stoves and several product
lines of sleeping bags, tents, and coolers to name a few.
Coleman products can be found across the United States, Canada

in our industry, due in large part to the dedication and commitment
