RE: Grievance Hearing

Thank you for agreeing to serve on the Grievance Panel. This is a tremendous commitment on your part and I sincerely appreciate your willingness to serve.

The Grievance is set to begin on Tuesday, date at 9:00 a.m. in Room 206 of the Union and will continue on Wednesday, date if needed. Please be prepared to stay until 5:00 p.m. both days. Lunch, coffee and other refreshments will be provided.

Please plan to come to the Union by 8:00 a.m. because the Presiding Officer and the Counsel for the Grievance Panel will provide initial instructions at 8:15 a.m.

Attached are documents provided by both the grievant and the administrative respondents. Please review these before the hearing. Also enclosed is a copy of Appendix G of the University Handbook. I would recommend that you review these materials and Section C: Identity, Employment, Tenure and Appendix Q: Guidelines for Evaluating Faculty and Unclassified Professionals of the University Handbook.
