Important resolutions currently being considered by the Panhellenic, vote to be taken Tuesday

At the upcoming Panhellenic Council many important topics will be discussed and voted upon. Please review the following items, also available on the Greek Affairs webpage at http://www.k-state.edu/greek/members/minutes.htm.

Resolution to establish a relationship between the Kansas State University Panhellenic Council and the Kansas State University colony of Gamma Rho Lambda National Social Sorority

Resolution to confirm Total allowable chapter size of 140

Following the outcome of a meeting of chapter advisors and recruitment advisors as well as a the formal membership recruitment wrap-up meeting, a resolution will be offered to confirm Total at 140 members. A more complete explanation will be offered at the Panhellenic Council Meeting.

Resolution to establish a PHC Extension Committee

Following the outcome of a meeting of chapter advisors and recruitment advisors as well as a the formal membership recruitment wrap-up meeting, a resolution will be presented to establish an extension committee. The committee will first be charged with further exploring if extension is a viable option for our sorority community. Should research show that in fact, yes, extension is the best option, the established committee will follow NPC suggestions for extension.

First Fall Panhellenic bills due, October 15

Please be reminded the first set of Fall dues to the Panhellenic Council are due in the Greek Affairs office no later than 5:00pm on October 15. Should you have any question, please do not hesitate to contact Greek Affairs.

Panhellenic Executive Officer Applications due October 10, sign up for an interview time

The deadline to apply for the Panhellenic Council Board of Directors if quickly approaching. Please encourage your best members to apply as they will help determine the future of Greek life at Kansas State University! Application packets can be downloaded on the Greek Affairs website. Please remind applicants to sign up for an interview when they turn in their application. Applications will be held on October 14 and 16 from 6:00-10:00pm in the evening.

PHC Bylaws/Constitution review

Macy Wendler, Panhellenic Council President, is currently seeking the involvement of interested persons in helping to revise two important K-State Panhellenic documents – the K-State Panhellenic Council Bylaws and Constitution. Should you or someone in your chapter be interested in being a part of the review team, please email Macy directly at macyw@k-state.edu. The documents are reviewed periodically to ensure their relevancy and the relevancy of the council’s operations.

Delta Sigma Phi new members cancel fundraiser

The following message comes from Matt Marchesini, Delta Sigma Phi Pledge Class Secretary/Treasurer

Due to circumstances involving new member who are needing to go home for fall break, we had to cancel the car wash that is being held on Sunday. We will be looking at doing the activity in the spring. Thank you!
