Fraternity Review – Issue 4
Important Business at Tuesday’s IFC Meeting
The K-State Interfraternity Council will convene on Tuesday, October 7th at Phi Kappa Theta at 7:00 pm. The Council will discuss two very important matters.
New Director of Retention position being considered
Chapter Presidents should’ve received a detailed email earlier in the week from IFC President Andy Gigstad regarding the addition of a new office to the Interfraternity Council. The Director of Retention position will go into effect immediately, if approved, and is being considered in lui of retention concerns within the community, upcoming university retention initiatives, and a need to balance governance on the IFC Executive Board. Please contact Andy with any questions or concerns.
Appeal Hearing set to take place following the meeting at 8:30
A Judicial Board Appellate Hearing will take place following the IFC meeting. Chapter Presidents make up the Appellate Board and are advised to review the case before the hearing on Tuesday. Please stop by the Greek Affairs office to take a look at the case packet. All Presidents are expected to be in attendance or make necessary arrangements with Andy Gigstad.
IFC Executive Board Applications available in Greek Affairs
The complete application packet can be found the Greek Affairs webpage (Interfraterntiy Council Executive Officer Application Packet (2009)) or in the Greek Affairs office. Please contact Andy Gigstad (atg@ksu.edu) with any questions about executive board roles and responsibilities. Applications are due back to the Greek Affairs Office by 5:00 pm on October 10th, 2008.
