House Directors
K-State House Directors
Many Kansas State University fraternity and sorority chapters employ house directors. House directors, or housemothers, as some chapters call them, typically live in the chapter facility to help manage chapter employees, care for the chapter home, and serve as a mentor for chapter members.
House directors play a crucial role in supporting young adult members. House directors may serve as the mom away from home, lead the chapter in etiquette and social graces, counsel a member through difficult personal issues, and serve as the chapter's biggest cheerleader at campus events like Homecoming, Greek Week, and intramurals.
