You can enroll using the interactive iSIS system. iSIS is Kansas State University's new student information system. The system manages all aspects of the enrollment and maintenance of undergraduate and graduate students, from applying and enrolling in classes, to accessing grades and paying for tuition. This interactive system is available to you through the WWW ( via a computer) using the url of http://isis.k-state.edu/. iSIS can also be accessed via the WWW directly from the K-State home page. If you have questions about iSIS, see http://www.k-state.edu/isishelp/student for specific help topics and Frequently Asked Questions about iSIS. If you need help signing in to iSIS, contact the IT Help Desk at (785) 532-7722. Tuition/Fee Payment. Statements of Account are mailed on the 15th of each month with payment due on the 14th of the following month, unless the 14th falls on a weekend or holiday and then the due date will be the preceding business day. (For example, if a student enrolls on January 10, a bill will be sent on January 15 with a due date of February 14.) If the balance is not paid by the due date, a 1.5% default (service) charge will be assessed on any unpaid balance. In addition, if a student does not enroll before the first day of classes, a $50 late enrollment fee will be assessed. Statements of Account will continue to be mailed on the 15th of each month to all students who have not paid their accounts in full and the default charge will be added on any unpaid balance. It is your responsibility to withdraw from classes at any time after enrollment if you do not plan to attend. Classes are NOT administratively dropped if tuition/fees are unpaid. The Course Schedule is available on the K-State web site at http://courses.k-state.edu/. This schedule provides a listing of all classes offered during the semester, a description of enrollment procedures, an academic calendar, an enrollment form, and other useful information. The Graduate Catalog will provide information about graduate study and a list of all courses offered by the K-State graduate programs. The electronic version is considered the official version as the information is changed. For up-to-date information at any time, students can look on the Graduate School Web site, http://www.k-state.edu/grad/gscurrent/catalog/.The Graduate Handbook is also available on our Web site at http://www.k-state.edu/grad/gscurrent/handbook/. The Handbook was developed by the Graduate Faculty through recommendations to the Graduate Council. The policies and procedures outlined are designed to insure high standards in graduate education at K-State while providing for flexibility in policy implementation. The Graduate Council expects each graduate program to build on this foundation to achieve its programmatic vision of excellence. Graduate students should become familiar with the policies and degree requirements included in the Handbook. While flexibility is encouraged, regulations will not be waived nor exceptions granted because someone is unaware of specific policies or procedures. The electronic version is considered the official version, since it is regularly updated after policies are adopted or modified by the Graduate Council. Therefore, the electronic version should be your reference for current policy. Policy and procedure handbooks have also been developed by individual programs. There may be variations in requirements by the individual programs. For example, some require standardized testing for admission and others do not. Students should inquire about such information and obtain copies as needed. There are also brochures available in the Graduate School to help students prepare programs of study, as well as graduation and commencement information deadlines for each semester. Much of this information is also available on our Web site. Honor System. All students at Kansas State University, including graduate students, are responsible for following the KSU honor pledge described in the Honor System. For your responsibilities as a student, please read the information on the following web site: http://www.k-state.edu/honor/ Photo Identification Card. After enrolling, take a copy of your class schedule and a driver's license or other form of identification to the ID Card Center in the K-State Student Union, first floor, south of the Stateroom Cafeteria. Be prepared to have your picture taken! This card is required for access to the University libraries, recreation services, and prior to purchasing athletic tickets, a parking permit, and books. Parking Permits. As with most campuses, parking is regulated. If you intend to park in campus lots you must obtain a parking permit issued by the University. Permits can be purchased in Edwards Hall, Room 101, any time after you enroll and obtain your student ID card. Parking in designated lots is on a first-come first-serve basis. Directory Information. Certain information concerning students is considered to be open to the public upon inquiry. This public information is called directory information and includes a student's name, local address and telephone number; permanent mailing address; college; curriculum; year in school; date and place of birth; dates of attendance at K-State; awards and academic honors; degrees and dates awarded; most recent educational institution attended; participation in officially recognized activities and sports; and for members of athletic teams, height and weight. Directory information will be released for individual students by the Registrar's Office to anyone upon inquiry, unless the student requests each semester after enrolling that directory information not be released. The student's request to have directory information withheld from the Campus Directory (published fall semester) must be submitted for each semester the student is enrolled. Requests should be made at the Registrar's Office, which will notify other appropriate University offices. |
