The best part of the GPS program is exploring the K-State Campus and Manhattan Community with your Guide! Here is where you can access information about upcoming events in the area. From student sponsored events on campus to weekly activities around town, there's something for everyone!

*As a reminder, guides and mentees are asked to connect a minimum of THREE times each semester*

GPS Connect Events

The GPS Program hosts monthly "Connect Events" for GPS Guides and mentees to attend together. These events provide participants with an easy and affordable way to spend quality time together while also having the opportunity to connect with other individuals from across campus. Past Connect Events have included:

  • A VIP K-State Basketball Experince
  • Bowling at the K-State Student Union
  • An evening of games and food at Purple Swirl Frozen Yogurt
  • Volunteering at the Flint Hills Bread Basket
  • High Ropes at the K-State Challenge Course

Connect Events for March and April are as follows:

International Coffee Hour | Friday March 29th | 4-5pm at the International Student Center
Thomaida Polydorou, a current K-State student, will be talking about her home country of Cyprus, her K-State experience and her cultural background. Additionally,food and refreshmentsfrom Cyprus will be served! This event is free, please RSVP to gps@k-state.edu by Thursday, Marcy 28th if you plan to attend!

Tailgating and K-State Baseball | Friday April 26th | 6pm at the Tointon Family Stadium
Join other GPSers for our final Connect Event of the year! Guides and mentees will enjoy a tailgate dinner as the CATS take on Texas A&M. Additional details about registration will be sent via e-mail the first week of April!
