Innovation at Kansas State University

  • This initiative builds on research already being conducted, and guides new food-related research on Kansas State University's three campuses.

  • Current and planned research facilities, and the expected growth of private-public partnerships, will heighten Kansas State University's standing as a global leader among research universities in addressing the world's food challenges.

  • Challenge grants will provide funding for Kansas State University faculty to conduct new research related to the food system and the world's challenges.

  • The current Biosecurity Research Institute (BRI) and soon-to-be-built National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility (NBAF) strengthen Kansas State University's ability to conduct research in crop protection, animal health and food safety.
