The Global Food Systems Initiative aligns closely with Kansas State University's mission to foster excellent teaching, research and service that develop a highly skilled and educated citizenry. This initiative will help the university continue to advance the well-being of Kansas, the nation and the international community.
Many opportunities exist to be involved. Faculty and staff will have new funding opportunities and facilities available. Citizens will have new opportunities to interact with K-State employees and how to safely handle food. Students will more clearly see how they can be part of solutions to major food challenges. The U.S. food industry will learn more about how it can remain the most productive food system in the world.
