Dr. Douglas G. Goodin will provide overall leadership for the project as well as lead the remote sensing components of the research. In partnership with Dr. Harrington, he will supervise the GRA and URA students in the KSU Geography Department.
Dr. William Hargrove and Dr. Walt Fick will partner to organize and conduct the outreach, extension, and education components of the project. Drs. Hargrove and Fick will supervise the project coordinator through the KSU extension service.
Dr. Jay Ham will lead the field biomass estimation modeling effort and coordinate interactions with project cooperators from EPA Region 7. This coordination will include exchanging vital information with EPA for running the BlueSky smoke dispersion model and working with EPA personnel to interpret model results. Dr. Ham will also work with Dr. Goodin to coordinate the ground and remote sensing components of the biomass modeling effort. He will supervise one GRA in the KSU Agronomy Department.
Dr. John A. Harrington, Jr. will conduct the air pollution climatology component of the study, and partner with Ham and Goodin to interpret the results of the modeling effort. Dr. Harrington will co-supervise (along with Goodin) project GRAs and URAs in the KSU Geography Department.
