Kansas State University geography students are frequent, and successful, competitors for a variety of national and regional awards, scholarships, and fellowships.  Geography scholars have been recognized by agencies such as the Association of American Geographers, National Science Foundation, NASA, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Department of Defense and the Morris K. Udall Foundation.  Kansas State University geography students have earned a total of 17 GTU Buzzard Scholarships, the most of any university in the United States.
