2014 K-State Poinsettia Sale to Benefit the University Gardens
MANHATTAN –The annual Kansas State University Gardens poinsettia sale this November and December will not only brighten homes and dinner tables this holiday season, but also support student worker assistants and other operations.
The fundraising sale is organized by the Friends of the K-State Gardens, said coordinator Lori Levin, a member of the Friends board of directors. Sales are Nov. 21, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4-6 p.m. at the KSU Gardens Quinlan Visitor’s Center at 1500 Denison Avenue in Manhattan; and Friday, Dec. 5, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
A large quantity of poinsettia plants in an assortment of colorful varieties will be offered along with the traditional red varieties, Levin said.
Volunteers with the Friends of the KSU Gardens organization will staff the sale dates.
