Research Interests:

I am currently studying the diversity and functions of root colonizing, non-mycorrhizal, septate endophytic fungi at Konza Prairie LTER.  Periconia spp. seem to be the most commonly occurring root endophytes. Some of the hypothesized functions of the endophytic fungi are currently being tested using leek and native grass resynthesis systems.
