Executive Meeting Minutes

Officers present: Paul, Keiv, Ross, John, Jason, Chelsea, Cody
Meeting duration: 75 minutes
 
1) Officer Notes
 a) Amy Walker
 i) thinks Freethought Week should be the first week of April
 b) Paul
 i) wants to delegate activities better next semester
2) Debate
 a) We're going to cancel the debate with Robert Price because CRU
 has not done their share by finding an opponent.
 b) We decided to not have Price give a lecture instead.
 c) Amy has the go-ahead to schedule Dan Barker for Freethought
 Week.
3) Reminder: End-of-semester party scheduled for Dec. 15th at Jason
 and John's house.
 a) The YDs and going to be there, and perhaps a few other groups
 also.
4) Should we start charging membership fees?
 a) We are going to think of a 'membership package' and a price for
 membership over Christmas Break.
5) Authoritarianism in America
 a) We voted 7-0 in favor of pursuing this topic for next semester.
 b) We'll have a panel discussion with four guests and a moderator.
6) Hunger Site Dinner revisited
 a) We voted against pursuing it for next semester (vote was 0-4 w/
 3 abstaining).
 b) Reasons: 
 i) Time constraints
 ii) We've already tried this once and it fell through
7) Other stuff
 a) The KSU Philosophy Dept. is going to donate $40 to us.
 b) We might have a speaker on Darwin Day (Feb. 12th).
 c) We talked about getting more relevant topics on our listserv.
 d) The Union charged us $70 for having RI in the Union Courtyard.
 Ross is looking into it.
 e) For the next officer election, the office of vice president will

either be removed or redefined.
