Business Meeting Minutes

November 9, 2001

Nine members present, plus Mark was there in spirit via a cell phone call to Paul.

1) The IF Reader

a) A committee was created and headed by Paul to decide on details regarding the alternative collegian. Anyone interested is welcome to join to voice his or her opinion. Incensed by the idiocy of the prevailing paper, Paul has presented this idea with a new found ardor and vowed to dedicate his time to this project next semester.

2) Events

    a) Free Speech Meeting Next Thursday.

        i) Bring whatever you want to rant and rave on any topic. It is a "skeptic's prayer"

    b) Soul Auction

        i) Kudos to those involved either bidding or selling.

        ii) We made 442 dollars.

    c) Flyer posting

        i) Friday November 9th at 3:30 pm on Friday.

        ii) Bring tape and tacks.

    d) Lecture

        i) March 7th

        ii) Special guest lecturer, an evolutionary biologist.

        iii) We are still looking for a good venue with plenty of seats for this event.

    e) Religiously Incorrect has been post-poned until next semester so that we can prepare more.

    f) Dawin Day

        i) February 12th

        ii) Forum/discussion on Biological Racism. I.e., we will talk and debate on casual racism or racism implied in policies, thoughts, etc.
