Individuals for FreethoughtGeneral Meeting Minutes10/11/00 16 people presentMeeting Duration = 1 hour 1) Tyler talked about starting an ACLU group on campus a) He passed around a signup sheet for those interested in joining.2) Brief Rundown of Upcoming Events a) Superstition Bash: Oct. 13th, westside of Holtz Hall, 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM b) Eugenie Scott "Why Not Creationism in Public Schools!": Oct. 25th, Union 212 i) John has not heard from her yet about having a private meeting with us. c) Religiously Incorrect: Oct. 16th, Union Courtyard, *2:00 - 3:30 PM* i) Guests are Charlie Clack, Mark Hall, Chris Geyer, and David Jones. d) Bob Price Debate: last week it was moved to mid-February, but that date will not work for Bob Price. We are trying to find another date.3) The rest of the meeting was set aside for IF members to express their opinions on where they want the group to go, what they think of where we're going now, and to give the leaders some new ideas. a) A number of people expressed their general displeasure with the way things have been running lately. b) Amy thinks that we should have something along the lines of a Freethought Awareness week. c) Jeff wants to have more meetings where members can bring in whatever they want and read it to the group. d) Leslie likes campouts.
