Pedestrian travel time
One of the guiding principles of the Kansas State University Master Plan is to maintain a pedestrian-oriented undergraduate academic core campus contained within a 10-minute walk. Maintaining a compact campus builds on the organization of the existing campus, reinforces pedestrian safety, improves connectivity, strengthens the campus image and extends the park-like character of the campus core to the edges.
