Bicycle routes
The city of Manhattan, in cooperation with Kansas State University, has developed a bicycle plan for the city. The plan includes dedicated bicycle lanes on city streets and bicycle pathways that provide linkages within the city and the university. Bicycles are allowed access to public and private streets in and around the campus, but bicyclists are expected to dismount their bikes within the academic core of the campus. Bike racks will be located contiguous to bike routes to minimize riding on sidewalks.
