High school students (grades 9-12) are invited to come experience a day in the life of a college student! Each participant will be paired with a current K-State student who shares similar interests in science, technology, engineering, or math. Together they will attend class, tour campus, share lunch, and discuss what it's like to be in a STEM major at K-State.
What is the Goal?
The mission of EXCITE Shadow Days is to increase girls’ interest in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) careers.
Who Should Attend?
This event is intended for students currently in high school with an interest in science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM) related careers.
What Will We Do?
You will join a current college student majoring in a field you are interested in as she goes about her normal day at K-State and experience “a day in the life” firsthand. Lunch and parking are included in your registration fee.
When & Where?
We will start the day in the KAWSE office in Seaton Hall Room 125 at 9am. You will be picked up by your mentor shortly thereafter and spend the majority of your time either in class or touring campus. The day will end around 3pm back in the KAWSE office.
Spring 2017 Dates
