Okay ladies! This is
your chance to see what
a typical day at college
is like for a female
science, technology,
engineering or
mathematics (STEM)
student. You will go to
class with your mentor,
explore campus life,
have lunch and attend a
workshop called "How to
Choose a College Major
that is Right for YOU".
Be aware! You will sit
in on college classes
and will not understand
everything that is
discussed. We don’t
expect you to! This is
not about understanding
the class; it is about
seeing what a college
classroom feels like and
spending some quality
time with a current
female college student.

would like to carpool
with someone please
contact us and we will
see if there are others
from your area attending
the event.
How do
I choose a major to shadow?
There is a list of majors
available to shadow in the registration brochure and listed below. You will rank your top 5
choices and then we will pair you and another high school student with a
K-State student in that major. Assignments are made on a first-come
first-serve basis.
As you read through the
list of STEM majors
think about the
following things:
Ø
What are some of the
careers or jobs you can
see yourself doing (we
know you have more than
just one!)?
Ø
Which of these majors
will help me get there?
