Because this is the first time our conference has been held in the United States, and we are meeting in Kansas, the heart of America’s farming frontier, we invite papers on topics relating to frontiers:
- Regional and national boundaries
- Sexual orientation and identity, the last frontier in the human rights discourse
- The electronic frontier
- Redefining nationalism
- Globalization, region and nation
- Diasporic identities
- Migration and shifting borders
- Life writing and a sense of place
- Cultural, ethnic, and religious frontiers
Abstracts of 500 words (maximum) should be submitted by 14th February 2006 to
