Han Yu specializes in Technical Communication and Professional/Workplace Writing. Her dissertation explores the pedagogical and programmatic implications of bridging workplace and classroom writing assessment to help students learn to write beyond the university context. She has published book reviews in Technical Communication and Business Communication Quarterly, presented at regional and national conferences on topics of writing assessment, and won institutional and national scholarly awards and
grants. She is currently working on several articles that draw from her dissertation work as well as branching into the study of International Technical Communication.
