Fields of interest:
Science Fiction and Fantasy, The Novel, British Literature, Children's Literature.

Carol Franko specializes in utopian and science fiction. Her articles have appeared in Science-Fiction StudiesExtrapolation, Journal on the Fantastic in the Arts, and Mythlore.  Her article on Kim Stanley Robinson’s Mars trilogy is forthcoming (Spring 2005) in A Companion to Science Fiction, ed. by David Seed, in Blackwell Companions to Literature and Culture series.  Work in progress includes a set of articles linked by an investigation into how SF naturalizes the supernatural, or otherwise “rewrites” supernatural worldviews, especially those associated with the Judeo-Christian tradition.
