Safety 101 - Online Health and Safety Training
Campus Environmental Health and Safety, in conjunction
with K-State administration, devoloped a new plan for safety at K-State.
One part of the plan is to make training available to all K-Staters
asynchronously and online.
Every faculty and staff member at K-State is enrolled
in a Safety 101 course through K-State Online.
To access the course, go to http://online.ksu.edu
and login with your employee ID (eID) and password.
Modules include:
- Ergonomics;
- Hazardous waste training;
- General waste awareness;
- Laboratory safety;
- Hazard communication;
- Safe lifting; and
- Hazard communications for custodians.
The goals of providing these materials online are to reach a broader
audience, improve safety practices, and comply with state and federal
regulations
Responsibility for environmental health and safety compliance is in
the hands of every college and department on campus. For more information
about safety training, contact Lisa Linck, Occupational Safety Manager,
by phone at 785-532-5856 or by email at lisa@ksu.edu.
