The
Art of Delegation
Intended
Audience: Anyone responsible for the work of others
OVERVIEW
Do all the tasks you personally handle require your level of expertise?
Or could some of those tasks be completed by a subordinate? If you are
responsible for the work of others, your success depends in part upon
your ability to distribute the workload - to delegate. Fortunately,
delegation is a skill that can be learned and practiced.
LEARNING
POINTS
Among the questions we will address during this session, are the following:
- What keeps me
from delegating?
- How do I decide
what to delegate?
- Who is the right
person for the task?
- What is the
best way to delegate to an employee?
Remember: when
you are performing a task someone else could do, you keep yourself
from a task only you can do.
