Attendance is limited to those currently in supervisory, lead worker, or management positions at K-State.
Overview
This session is updated annually to include the latest legal interpretations.
An attorney representing the Office of the University Attorney will
share tips on avoiding legal pitfalls in the supervisory role.
Topics
to be addressed may include the following:
- The Role of the Office of University Attorney
- Liability/Kansas Tort Claims Act
- Evaluation/Discipline of Classified Employees
- Sexual Harassment and Racial/Ethnic Harassment
- Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)/Reasonable Accommodations
- Family and Medical Leave Act
Questions on the
above topics are welcomed at the presentation. As many will be addressed
as time permits.
