
General Information
Purpose
The primary purpose
of employee training is to assist the university in achieving its goals
through learning opportunities which will:
- improve organizational
effectiveness;
- promote knowledge,
skills, and experiences that contribute to successful performance;
and
- comply with legal
mandates .
Courses offered
fall within the areas of management and supervisory development, organizational
development and human relations.
Participation
Regular and probationary
employees are welcome to participate in elective programs with supervisor
approval. Normally, elective programs are offered during work hours,
and supervisors are encouraged to allow their employees to participate.
Employees attending approved programs during working hours are not required
to make up time spent in class. Employee Relations and Training may
limit or restrict enrollment based on the intended audience, the instructional
format, or the available facility.
Enrollment
A confirmed enrollment
is required to participate unless otherwise indicated in the course
description.

may enroll through HRIS
Self-Enrollment to receive immediate confirmation (If you are unfamiliar
with the Self-Enrollment process, please refer to KSU
Training Enrollment directions). Or e-mail training@ksu.edu and include your name, department,
employee ID number (required), course title and course date. Enrollment
will be confirmed by an e-mail response to the sender.
It is the employee's
responsibility to obtain the necessary departmental approvals prior
to enrolling.
