KSU Campus to Aggieville Walking Trails

Approximately 2.6 miles (13,624 feet)

and Alternate Route is 2.5 miles (13,500 feet)

Route

1) Start from the Southeast door of Ahearn which is located by the pool.

2) Take a left heading East on the sidewalk.

3) At Martin Luther King Drive, take a right heading South towards Anderson Avenue.

4) At Anderson Avenue, cross intersection using the crosswalk and take a left heading East towards Aggieville.

5) Once arriving at Manhattan Avenue, take a right. (You should now be located in Aggieville which offers several types of eating places so grab a bite to eat!)

6) Continue walking South to City Park.

7) With caution, cross Fremont Street and take a left upon reaching the Park.

8) Walk around the Park which is one mile and should approximately take about 18 minutes.

  1. There is a water fountain along the way next to the tennis courts on the West side and another fountain on the South side.
  2. To add intensity, include step ups on the benches or picnic tables on the West and South sides of the Park.
  3. Increase pace from 1/4 mile markers to increase the calories burned.

9) After a full lap around the Park, carefully take a left heading North across Fremont Street. (You should be on Manhattan Ave.)

10) At Anderson Avenue, take a left heading West toward Martin Luther King Drive.

11) At Martin Luther King Drive, take a left heading West on the sidewalk toward Ahearn.

12) Once at Ahearn this should be where you started and this is the ending point.

Conditions for this trail include:

Concrete sidewalks the entire way except in City Park which has both dirt and concrete sidewalks.

Crosswalks are provided at every intersection except for the one at Manhattan Avenue/Fremont Street.

Alternate Route

1) First walk through steps 1-8 as listed above, then start this alternate route.

2) After walking around City Park, head North on 14th Street toward Anderson Avenue.

3) Take a Left (West) on Anderson Avenue.

4) Once you get to Denison Avenue, take a Right crossing the intersection (with caution) at the crosswalk.

5) Walk to the West door of Ahearn, which will be the ending point.
