JILL BURKINDINE: Instructor
I am originally a Texan, and I got my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Texas. I moved to Missouri to start my Ph.D. in English, but got married before I finished it. When my two sons were in high school, I went back to full-time teaching, discovered how much I loved ESL teaching, and finished my Ph.D. at the University of Missouri-Columbia. I taught for 5 years at Missouri State University in Springfield, MO, and for 10 years at Drury University, also in Springfield. At Drury, I was Director of the English for Academic Purposes program. I particularly enjoy helping international students improve their writing in English.
