I’m a former English Language Fellow (ELF) and I served in Indonesia during the 2010-11 academic year. In December 2009, I graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, with an M.A.Ed. in ESL for adult education. Since then, I have taught in the "free English" program for adults at Shelton State Community College (Alabama) and at the English Language Institute on the University of Alabama campus in Tuscaloosa. I also worked as an outreach worker for the public library system in Tuscaloosa, helping build its relationships with patrons new to English. My undergraduate work was in international studies. I still speak only English fluently, but I have promised to work diligently to correct my monolingualism.
