KSU Facilities

 

ELP students pay a student privilege fee when they enroll in their English classes.This fee allows them to use all of the University facilities.

 

Computer Access

Kansas State University has been rated as one of the top 100 "wired" Universities in the country because it offers students and faculty numerous computing services that include:

6 public computing labs open 24 hours a day
e-mail, internet and word processing access from all labs
free instruction sessions
computer and internet hook-ups in all dorm rooms

 

International Student Center

The newly renovated and expanded International Student Center is one of the best in the country.The offices are in the Taiwan Wing.The newly remodeled Korean Room is open 24-hours a day with controlled access.The Korean Room has computers with internet access and a large screen T.V. The Barbara Wilson Children's Room is kid-friendly with bright colors, toys and child-sized furniture.The ISC offers monthly activities for children. Students from many countries pass through the center each day, sharing cultures, traditions, recipes, language lessons, and their common concern for events in today's world.

 

K-State Union

The K-State Union is a center of social, recreational, and cultural activities on the KSU campus. The Union offers:

two cafeterias and a dining room
an auditorium and a theater
a bookstore and bank
facilities for bowling, billiards, and video games
an art gallery
lounges / study areas
a copy center

 

Lafene Health Center

At the University Health Center, students may see a doctor at no charge, but there will be a moderate charge for medicine, x-rays, or lab tests. Lafene Health Center is not a hospital. The University strongly recommends that students buy personal health insurance to cover their expenses if they must go to a hospital.

 

Recreation Complex

K-State has the largest recreational complex among the Big 12 Conference Universities. It offers numerous recreational sports and fitness programs to the University community that include:

tennis, racquetball, handball, and squash courts
a weight room
an exercise room
an indoor running track
swimming and diving pools
