Cost of Items at Different Places

The same items may cost a different amount depending on where you are shopping. For example, if you buy a gallon of milk at a convenience store like Dara's or Shop Quik, it will probably cost you $3.50. But if you buy that same gallon of milk at Dillons or Ray's Apple Mart, it will only cost you $2.75. By shopping at a supermarket, instead of a convenience store you saved .75cents.

Food

The best place to shop for food is at a supermarket. You can either go to Dillons or Ray's Apple Mart. There are several locations in Manhattan . In Junction City, you can also shop at the Wal-Mart Super Center. Only go to a convenience store if you need a few items and a supermarket is too far away. A convenience store is always more expensive than a grocery store.

Clothing

You can shop at many different stores for clothes. In the U.S. , we have what is called the mall. Our mall is named The Manhattan Towne Center. In the mall are several clothing, jewelry, electronics and specialty shops. Usually stores in the mall are more expensive than stores not in the mall. But, stores in the mall are usually nicer and have better quality clothing. For cheaper clothes, you can shop at Wal-Mart or K-Mart. Both have nice clothing at a discount price.

Wal-Mart: Some of you may not know what Wal-Mart is. Wal-Mart is a huge store that sells clothing, food, electronics, music, jewelry, cosmetics, furniture, plants, school supplies, books, and will even develop your photographs! Walmart is an inexpensive store with a friendly staff.
