Lab Contents

The lab is a place where you can study, do homework, watch videos, listen to tapes, use computers, and read. Sometimes, your teachers will assign you work that can only be done in the lab. Other times, they will have you check out (take home) a tape from the lab. You can check out cassette tapes and books. The magazines that are in the lab are for you to take home and keep. There will always be a lab monitor in the lab to help you or answer any questions you may have. Below is a brief list of what is in the lab. A more complete list is in the lab.

VIDEOS

The lab has movies, documentaries and television shows. You cannot check out the videos, but you can watch them in the lab. We have comedies, dramas, horror and suspense movies. The documentaries are mostly all from National Geographic. The television shows are what is popular on American television. Mostly they are comedy.

CASSETTE TAPES and CD's

Your teacher will usually assign you a tape to check out. If they do not, it is still a very useful learning tool. You can check out a tape for 2 weeks. The lab monitor can help you find a tape that is good for you.

BOOKS

We have several books for you to check out. There are arranged by how difficult they are to read: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. The lab monitor can help you select the appropriate book for you.
