Kansas State University invites applications for a term position at the rank of either instructor or assistant professor. The appointment will begin at the start of the 2008-2009 academic year, and additional term appointments beyond 2008-2009 may be possible, depending on performance (PhD preferred). M.A. or ABD is required for appointment at the rank of instructor; Ph.D. is required for appointment at the rank of assistant professor. Teaching load will involve three classes per semester with no more than two preparations (9-hour teaching load), with some involvement in the principles course. Primary criterion for selection is evidence of outstanding teaching performance, preferably with experience in large classes.
