Macroeconomics and Monetary Economics, Human Capital and Labor Economics, Applied Time Series Econometrics

Fidia Farah

I am a doctoral candidate in economics at Kansas State University. I expect to graduate in May, 2018. I am currently in the job market. My teaching and research interests are in the fields of Macroeconomics and Monetary Economics, Human Capital and Labor Economics, and Applied Time Series Econometrics.
I have several years of teaching experience. I work as a primary instructor at Kansas State University as I continue with my Ph.D. studies. I have taught nine sections of undergraduate courses including Principles of Macroeconomics, Intermediate Macroeconomics, and Money and Banking.
My research focuses on expectation driven business cycles, labor market polarization, and the role of information technology in macroeconomic activities. My job market paper investigates a novel mechanism through which news about future technological innovations can produce key business cycle features.
I will attend the upcoming ASSA/AEA meetings in Philadelphia, PA on January 5-7, 2018.
