Huubinh (Ben) B. Le
I am a Ph.D candidate in Economics at Kansas State University. I expect to graduate in May 2014. I received my B.S. in Economics from Georgia State University in 2007.
My research interests are industrial organization, applied econometrics, and the U.S. airline industry. My current research focuses on the effects of airline mergers and codeshare alliances on firms' marginal, fixed, and entry costs. My job market paper, "Measuring Merger Cost Effects: Evidence from a Dynamic Structural Econometric Model," was awarded the Robert F. Lanzillotti Prize for Best Paper in Antitrust Economics at the International Industrial Organization Conference in May 2013. (Co-authored with Philip Gayle)
I will attend the ASSA meeting in Philadelphia this January. Please contact me if you would like to schedule an interview.
