C. Patrick Scott
I am a PhD candidate in the Economics Department at Kansas State University and expect
to complete all degree requirements by May 2013.
My research interests are in macroeconomics, monetary economics, and applied econometrics. I am particularly interested in the empirical estimation of optimal monetary policy models. One paper titled, "Optimal Monetary Policy with Asymmetric Preferences for Output, " is recently published in Economics Letters (August 2012). My job market paper titled, "Using Time Varying Monetary Policy Parameters to Identify Asymmetric Preferences," models inflation and interest rate targets as time varying parameters. Recently, I was awarded the Best Graduate Paper Award in the Department of Economics.
I will be attending the SEA conference in New Orleans in November and the AEA conference in San Diego in January. Please contact me if you would like to schedule an interview.
